Ayşe Özaydın 

(b. 1984, Istanbul) is an independent artist, specializing in art photography. After completing her BA in film, she received her MA at Marmara University, Department of Photography. She concluded the Proficiency in Arts Program in the same department and received her Ph.D. She has worked as a lecturer in the Radio, TV and Cinema Department at Istanbul Nisantasi University. She is also a part of the Phoenix Archeological Project's Contemporary Art Program.​

 

Her photographic practice explores photography's inherent paradox: reflecting and constructing reality through a dialogue between objective observation and subjective interpretation, illuminating the human condition. Her recent work is centered on creating with a strong emotional intensity, intending to evoke a shift in perspective. Through photography, she seeks to explore the universal relationship between individuality and togetherness. Her images aim to ignite introspection and challenge perceptions of self and others. She hopes to inspire viewers to transcend cultural boundaries, dissolving into a spirit of unity, and to push the boundaries of self on this introspective journey. Rooted in curiosity, exploration, and experimentation, her approach expands photographic expression to reveal the love that binds our shared humanity.
